Yesterday night we ran into some girls in their early twenties dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They had no idea who we were supposed to be.

Work on Bebop continues...

We've been hard at work on the Bebop and Rocksteady costumes. Bebop is really starting to take shape!

If you couldn't tell from the start of the masks , we're going to be the bad guys from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Halloween this year. If all goes according to plan, we'll have a total of 4 costumes: Shredder, Krang's android body, Bebop and Rocksteady. breakdown of all the costume parts we need Bebop and Rocksteady are definitely the most complicated of the four, at least when it comes to the number of pieces we'll have to put together. We've got lots of work to do but I think we've made pretty good progress so far. This weekend I worked on the masks and finished Rocksteady's helmet and goggles. cheap safety goggles, foam core & bottle caps finished army helmet from a bike helmet

Only 2 months to Halloween! We've started on our costumes but I'm really going to need to step it up if I want to get all 4 done in time. Wouldn't want to wind up legless on the big day, like last year ! So far, we've made plaster masks ( like we did for the Ludo costume ) and started to build them up with papier maché pulp (like I used for Buck & Little Al ). We've also begun giving a cheap helmet "for skateboarding and trick rollerskating" an old school military look.
