Mod Mischief

Last night I finished a trophy for a charity Beatles Rock Band tournament. I made the base out of a piece of another record and the "trophy" record slips into notches on the side so it can be taken apart if they'd rather display in on a wall. It took forever, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Have you seen the intro to the game? So EPIC.

My last Christmas piece was for my little brother to give to his girlfriend. He wanted the Beatles and I wanted another opportunity to try a clock as I wasn’t happy with how I glued the last one down (never use hot glue anywhere near vinyl!). Krazy glue works much better and the only things I would change if I could do it again would be making the clock hands more visible and adding “The Beatles” to the lower left side.

I've been wanting to try making a record into a clock, so when my friend Neil requested a Beatles record for his mom, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. I just wish you could tell that Paul is barefoot .
