Commissioned Work – The Dalai Lama
My neighbours moved out at the end of January and threw out a bunch of great stuff including my new stainless steel kitchen garbage can and a pile of very bad paintings. The canvasses were in great shape, so naturally I snatched them up. Putting his holiness on vinyl didn’t make much sense to me, so I decided to transform a request for the Dalai Lama into my first piece on canvas. I’m not sure if I really captured the joy I wanted in this one…
